"SHUSHA MUSICIANS" - Zakir Bagirov

According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on declaring 2022 the "Year of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan the State Museum of Music Culture, Azerbaijan is the cradle of music and temple of Shusha "Shusha musicians" heading about musicians continues. Today, we present brief information about the composer, Honored Art Figure of Azerbaijan Zakir Bagirov (16.03.1916, Shusha - 08.01.1996, Baku) and some materials from the museum's collection. Zakir Bagirov graduated from Moscow State Conservatory in 1949. He was a teacher at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory since 1949 and was the head of the Department of Music Theory in the 1980s. He is the operetas of "Aygun" (1972) opera, "Song of our village" (1958) and "Mother-in-law" (1964), suites for folk instruments orchestra (1956,1969), concert for piano and orchestra (1970), improvisation and fugan for organ (1973), camera- author of instrumental works, songs and romances. Zakir Bagirov has written music for many drama plays and cinemas. He was awarded with the "Badge of Honor"
