Victory Day Concert - NOVEMBER 8

On November 4, 2021, a concert on the occasion of Victory Day was held at the State Museum of Music Culture - November 8
November 8-one of the brightest pages of the heroic history of the Azerbaijan Republic. Our 44-day war, which began in September under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, led to the liberation of our lands, Karabakh, which were under the Armenian occupation for almost 30 years. On November 8, after 28 years of waiting, the city of Shusha, which is of great importance to the Azerbaijani people, was liberated from occupation. Liberation of the city Shusha, the crowns of Karabakh, was one of the unique military operations in world military history.
To perpetuate this unprecedented victory, which became a holiday of the strength of our people and national pride, by the decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev of December 3, 2020, the Republic will celebrate the Victory Day annually.
At the concert of “March” by composer Mamedaga Umudov dedicated to Victory Day, Svetlana Akhmedova (f-no), Jalal Ismailzadeh (f-but), Fagan Aleskerov (zurna). The event was also attended by the Ensemble of ancient musical instruments, Azerbaijani state brass orchestra, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, a teacher of the Baku humanitarian college Farid Atazade, a student of the Azerbaijan national conservatory Mabud Ahmedov, Subhan Khankishiev. Video materials with performances of the Shekhids of the Great Patriotic War Khudayar Yusifzade and Tamerlana Mahmudov were also shown.
