Meeting with Teymur Goychayev
On January 13, 2010, the Classic Music Fans Club met with Teymur Goychayev – the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, the artistic director and the chief conductor of Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev and of the State Youth Symphony Orchestra. The director of these two orchestras, Nazila Yagubova, opened the night with the narrative on the creative work of T. Goychayev.
The conductor, Teymur Goychayev, told the audience about his work, about the warm reception the representatives of the Azerbaijani musical art receive abroad, about the specifics of working with the young musicians, the future plans. He answered many questions of the audience. Afterwards, the State Youth Symphony Orchestra played the works by S. Rakhmaninov, A. Melikov, Tschaikovskiy, Kabalevskiy.
