Fikret Amirov (22.11.1922-20.02.1984) "Symphonic dances" (1963) A composer, People's Artist of USSR (1965). The founder of the genre of symphonic mugham. ("Shur", "Kurd ovsar", 1948, "Gulistan-Bayati-Shiraz", 1971). Author of "Sevil" opera (1953), "One thousand and one nights" ballet (1937), "Nizami" symphony for string orchestra (1948), "Azerbaijan kapriccios" (1961), "Symphonic Dance" (1963), concert on arabian themes for piano and orchestra (1957) (with E.Nazirova).
