The 100th anniversary of Niyazi in the Gnesina’s Memorial Flat Museum, Moscow, Russia.
The State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan together with the Gnesina’s Memorial Flat Museum organized the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Azerbaijani conductor and composer Niyazi in Moscow. This project originated as the first of collaborative projects within the Association of Musical Museums and Collections. At the opening of the exhibition on October, 3, Dr.Alla Bayramova, director of the Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan, presented her speech on Niyazi. The ceremony was enriched by the concert performed by Anar Seyidov (violin) and Nazkhanum Dadashova (piano), both Azerbaijani students in Moscow, who played pieces by Niyazi, other Azerbaijani composers, such as Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, and also by Russian and European composers. The exhibition will take place in Gnesina’s Museum (Russia’s Academy of Music named after Gnesins) until October 24, 2012.
