The night dedicated to the birthday of Gara Garayev
The night dedicated to the birthday of the prominent composer, teacher, scientist, The People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Gara Garayev, was held in the home-museum of Niyazi, in the Classical Music Fans Club. The guests were shown the photo-exhibition, picturing G. Garayev’s life and creative work. Alla Bayramova, the museum director, the honored arts worker, Ph.D. in History of Arts, opened the event. She told the audience about the materials brought to Azerbaijan from Moscow, in particular, the music manuscripts, recordings, and pictures. The composer and the honored arts worker, Asya Sultanova and the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Arif Kaziyev shared their memories about G. Garayev with the guests. The program of the concert included the people’s Artist, composer, Musa Mirzoyev; the honored arts worker, professor of Baku Music Academy, Ulviya Hajibeyova; the soloists of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, Gulnaz Ismailova and Sabina Asadova; the honored artist of Azerbaijan, the international competitions award-winner, the possessor of the French State AwardMurad Guseynov, and the students of music school #12.
