This is a stringed musical instrument played with a bow. The kamancha consists of a head and neck and a spit that passes through the head and connects the two parts. The body, head and pegs are carved out of walnut wood. There are 4 strings. The instrument is played with a straight or slightly bent bow made of cornel wood. The open front part of the instrument is covered with sturgeon skin. The body is usually decorated with mother-of-pearl.
