"SHUSHA MUSICIANS"

According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the declaration of 2022 "Year of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Museum of Music Culture of Azerbaijan continues the section "Shusha musicians" on musicians cradle of music - Shusha. In today's column, we present a brief information about the Azerbaijani tarist, composer and musician who improved the tar, Sadyhjan (Sadyh Mirza Asad ogly) (1846, Shusha - 1902, Shusha), as well as photographs and portraits from museum collections. Sadygjan is considered one of the most famous Azerbaijani tarists. It has improved the tar and expanded the virtuoso game on this tool, increased the number of strings from 5 to 11, made additional changes to the tool hull, and completely changed the bar handle system, reducing their number from 28 to 10 pm Sadygjan made a great contribution to the art of the Azerbaijani mugam. In the 1890s, an ensemble led by Sadygjan was formed in Shusha. The ensemble included famous singers and musicians of that time. Famous students of Tarist - Gurban Pirimov, Meshadi Jamil Amirov, Meshady Zeynal Hagverdiev, Shirin Akhundov, Gamid Malybeili and others.
