"Maestro Niyazi"

On February 18, 2022, the presentation of the restored documentary film "Maestro Niyazi" (1975) was held at the State Museum of Music Culture of Azerbaijan together with the Azerbaijani State Film Foundation. The presentation was organized as part of a series of events dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding conductor and composer Niyazi.
The director of the State Museum of Music Culture of Azerbaijan, a doctor of art science, a honored worker of culture Alla Bairamova gave an opening speech. Then the word was presented to the director of the Azerbaijani State Film Foundation, a honorable figure of arts, a professor of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts Jamil Guliev. He told about the film shooting in 1975 at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio, a film dedicated to Niyazi, an outstanding Azerbaijani musician, a folk artist of the USSR, a hero of socialist labor, a director and composer, his life and multifaceted creativity, social activity and the importance of film restoration.
The authors of the movie script are Svetlana Mirzoeva and Rauf Nagiev, directed by Rauf Nagiyev.
Actress of the Azerbaijani State Academic Music Theater, honored artist Nargiz Karimova (vocal), student of the IV course of the Baku Music Academy laureate of International and Republican Awards Vusal Aydamirov (f-no), winner of the contest "Most Successful Young Man of the Year" in the field of culture, students of the IV year of the Baku Academy of Music, winners of the International and Republican Awards Aidan Rustamzade (violon cell) and Gunel Rzaeva (f-no) presented a musical program from Maestro Niyazi's works, and a slideshow was also demonstrated based on the museum's rich archive materials.
The event continued with a showing of the restored film Maestro Niyazi.
