The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed a decree of January 5, 2022 on the declaration of the "Year of the City of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On February 2, 2022 at the Niyazi House Museum, a branch of the State Museum of Music Culture of Azerbaijan, an event under the section "Musical City of Shusha" titled "Gadzhibekov: Niyazi", dedicated to the "Year of the City of Shusha", in Azerbaijan.
The director of the State Museum of Music Culture of Azerbaijan, a doctor of art science, a honored worker of culture Alla Bayramova, gave an opening speech. The head of the Niyazi House Museum, a meritorious worker of culture Rza Bayramov welcomed the gathering and talked about the work that will be done on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Maestro Niyazi's birthday. Head of the Department of the Museum Khanim Abdinova gave a speech on the topic "The Musical City of Shusha. Gadzhibekov: Niyazi." Her performance was accompanied by a display of slides based on the museum's rich collections.
On February 2, Azerbaijan celebrates Youth Day. In connection with this, in the artistic part of the event, performed: Director of the Azerbaijani State Chamber Orchestra named after Kara Karaev, honored artist Nargiz Aliyeva (f-no), soloist of the orchestra, winner of international competitions Rovshan Amrahov (violin), soloist of the Azerbaijani State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeir Gadjibeili, winner of international competitions Esmer Kerimli (violon), winner of international and Republican awards, students Baku Music Academy Farida Abbaszade (violin), Niger Ibadullaeva (alt), Farah Musaeva (violin) Aidan Rustamzade (violet), Magsud Musazade (f-no), students of the medium specialized music school named after Bulbul, international laureates Astonishing and Republican Awards Tunjai Ashrafli (tar), Ravan Efendi (tar), Hadija Gadzhila (violin), concert masters Rena Zakieva and Irina Mehtieva. Their performance presented a colorful concert program from works by Azerbaijani and Western European composers.
