110th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s first composition work, Leyli and Mecnun opera
On the event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s first composition work, Leyli and Mecnun opera composed by Uzeyir Hacibayli was held on the 25th of January of 2018 in the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan.
The director of the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan, Ph.D. on arts honoured culture worker Alla Bayramova gave an opening speech.
The head of department of State Museum Xanim Abdinova, composer, musicologist, honoured worker of arts Nargiz Shafiyeva, A. Agdamski’s son professor Telman Agmanski talked about achievements and prosperity of composing tradition in Azerbaijan during 110 years. Speeches were accompanied by presentation based on archival materials of the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan. Soloist of the State Academy Opera and Ballet theatre, people’s artist Gulyaz Mammadova, honoured workers Sabuhi Ibayev, Elkhan Mansurov(tar), Nargiz Agayeva, Ilaha Efendiyeva, Taleh Yahyayev, soloist of the Azerbaijan State Musical Theatre Atesh Qarayev, Fidan Babayeva, Samad Hasiyev, Aydan Hasanova, Aysel Shahbazli, Eleanora Mustafayeva, Alimammad Novruzov, Saida Sharifaliyeva, Shaban Djafarov, Amrad Dadashov, students of “Clarte” clarnet quartet, Baku Music Academy, laureate of the international and national competitions Maksud Musazade, Madina Bagirova, Fidan Mirheydarzade performed concert program consisting of the works of Azerbaijan composers.
