Meeting dedicated to Lutfiyar Imanov
On April 7, 2010 a meeting, dedicated to the People’s Artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan, professor Lutfiyar Imanov, took place. The event was organized by the Society of the Solidarity of Young Azeris of the World and the music and theatre fund “Lutfiyar Imanov”. The gathering was addressed by the People’s Artists of Azerbaijan Khuraman Kasimova, Ramiz Guliyev, composer and the honored arts worker Elnara Dadasheva, the president of the society Tofik Alizade, philosopher Asadulla Gurbanov, poet Gamlet Isakhanli. The soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theatre Zemfira Ismailova sang the aria of Nigyar from the opera “Koroglu” by Uzeyir Hajibeyov. Rena Aliyeva, a professor of Baku Music Academy, the honored artist performed “Ave Maria” by Kaccini. Ye. Bogoyevskaya accompanied her on the piano. A student of Lutfiyar Imanov, the honored Artist, a professor of the University of Culture and Art, Besti Sevdiyeva told the audience about her Teacher and sang the folk song “Ay Lachin”. On behalf of Lutfiyar Imanov’s family, the guests and participants were addressed and thanked by his sons Rauf Imanov and Vagif Imanov.
