The 90th anniversary of Shafiga Akhundova

January, 21 is the birthday of Shafiga Akhundova (21.01.1924), composer, the People’s Actress of Azerbaijan. Her opera – The Bride’s Rock (1972), became the first Eastern opera, written by a woman-composer. On January, 27 in the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan took place an event, dedicated to this date.
