Giuseppe Verdi - 200



On December 4, 2013, in the Niyazi House Museum, the Classic Music Fans Club of State Museum of Azerbaijan Music Culture performed the night, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the great Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.
The event was opened by chief of Museum’s department Hanim Abdinova. Then the word was given to docent of Baku Music Academy (BMA), musicologist Kamala Aleskerli. Her presentation was followed by a slide show, reflecting the life and work of Giuseppe Verdi.
Afterwards, the soloists of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Gulnaz Ismailova and Tural Agasiev, and the students of IV year of BMA Dilara Aliyeva and Aidan Guliyeva performed the arias from operas “Il trovatore”, "La traviata", "Rigoletto", "Les vepres siciliennes" and "La forza del destino". Also, was demonstrated the video fragment from the opera "Aida".
On the event were invited teachers and students of BMA, members of the Classic Music Fans Club, staff of Baku museums, media representatives and others.
