The Vocal Music Night

On April 1, 2009, a regular meeting ofthe Classic Music Fans Club affiliated with the Azerbaijan State Museum of Musical Culture was held. The meetings are usually held every first Wednesday of the month in the house-museum of Niyazi. This meeting was dedicated to the vocal music. The opening remarks were made by the museum director Alla Bayramova, the Honored Arts Worker, Ph.D. in History of Arts.
The performers included the students-vocalists of Eugenia Mamedova, a professor of Baku Music Academy, a soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. The program included Ave Maria (Bach - Gounod) and the aria of Musette from La Boheme (Puccini) performed by Elnara Mamedova, the aria of Jilda from Verdi's opera "Rigoletto", "In Spring" (Gounod) performed by Fidan Ahmedova, "The Sentimental Serenade" (Tozelli), "Panis angelikus" (Frank) performed by Dilara Mahmudova, Ave Maria (Kaccini), the aria of Cherubino from the opera "The Marriage of Figaro" by Mozart performed by Tamila Abdulkerimova, the aria of Lauretta from the opera "Janni Skikki" (Puccini) performed by Latifa Fataliyeva, the aria of Rosina from the opera "The Barber of Seville" (Rossini), the aria of Amina from the opera "Somnanbula" (Donizetti) performed by Saria Mahmudova. Towards the conclusion of the concert, Eudenia Mamedova sang the romance by Niyazi - "The Wish". The participants included the professors and the students of Baku Music Academy and the music schools, the museum personnel, the reporters from the media.
