Photo-exhibition "Vagif Mustafazade - 70"

On March 16th, in a huge concert hall within Heydar Aliyev’s Palace, a concert was held; dedicated to the seventieth birthday of a prominent Azeri Jazz musician, a pioneer of “Jazz-Mugham”, Vagif Mustafa-Zadeh. The concert consisted of a series of events, held according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, celebrating the anniversary of V. Mustafa-Zadeh on a state level and was organized by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. Before the concert, in the hall of the palace, audience members were presented with an exhibition of photographs prepared by the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan devoted to the anniversary of Mustafa-Zadeh. The exhibition of photographs attracted a lot of interest. Many visitors of the Palace were able to celebrate its forethought and successful placement as well as observe a life time and the stages of creativity of our outstanding contemporary. The exhibition set the tone for the event even before the concert started, which, by the testimony of the whole audience, turned out great thanks to the full program and its celebrity performances.
